FAQ

Video localization questions

Short answers for clients comparing subtitle translation, multilingual delivery, bilingual subtitles, and quality review workflows.

What is video localization?

Video localization adapts a video for viewers in another language or market, including transcript cleanup, subtitle translation, timing review, and publish-ready delivery.

Do you provide subtitle translation services?

Yes. We provide subtitle translation, bilingual review, SRT cleanup, timing checks, and readable subtitle adaptation. See Subtitle Translation Services.

When should I choose bilingual subtitles instead of target-language-only subtitles?

Choose bilingual subtitles for training, education, and internal review. Choose target-language-only subtitles when readability and viewer comfort matter most. See Bilingual subtitles vs target-language-only subtitles.

Why is subtitle translation and alignment harder than ordinary translation?

Subtitle translation is harder than ordinary translation because each line must fit meaning, timing, reading speed, and screen space at once. Different languages also expand, shrink, or reorder ideas. See Why subtitles are not word-for-word translations.

Why does ASR transcription still need human review?

ASR transcription still needs human review because speech-to-text systems can hallucinate words, mishear names, or place timestamps badly. If the source transcript is wrong, the subtitle translation inherits that error. See How ASR errors affect subtitle translation quality.

How do I request a quote?

Use the project request form to share your video link, source language, target language, runtime, deadline, and desired output.
